I’m more than ready to get back to a healthy and active lifestyle, especially after spending another weekend on the couch binge eating junk food. This may not be the first time I’ve declared to diet and exercise, but I’m counting on it being the last, because this time, I have four tools from fitness goals past to get me started and keep me on track:
FitBit // My FitBit Flex has been by my side for every health kick I’ve had in the last three years. I use my FitBit to track my activity, nutrition, water intake and even my sleep pattern. I’ve already updated it to reflect my current goals and I can’t wait to start crushing them!
Water Bottle // Water is essential to a healthy diet and lifestyle. To make sure that I’m getting my fill, I picked up this 40 oz Pogo Tritan Water Bottle and plan to keep it within reach at all times. According to the Water Intake Calculator on BodyBuilding.com, I should be drinking 135 ounces of water every day. I’ll admit, I’m more than a little intimidated by the idea of drinking that much water a day. But I know that I can, 40 ounces at a time.
Vitamins // The best way to get vitamins and nutrients are through a healthy, balanced diet. While I work on improving my diet, I started a 30 day vitamin program to address any nutritional gaps caused by my poor eating habits. The six daily vitamins and supplements promise “head-to-toe nutritional support.” I wish they also promised not to make me gag!
Calendar // My efforts to change my lifestyle will be in vain if I don’t make the time for it. I plan to use Google Calendar to schedule exercise, as well as time to prep and make healthy meals. I’m also going to schedule time for self-care. Practicing self-care is something I want to do regularly and not only after I’ve burnt out.
